The Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas ratified the $11 million award to Peloton Therapeutics in June 2010. Last week, the agency disclosed that the firm’s proposal had not received the required business or scientific review.
Will a simple apology do? I don't think so.
The chief executive of the state’s cancer-fighting agency apologized Wednesday for mistakes, including awarding $11 million of taxpayer money to a biotech firm two years ago without the required review by business and scientific experts.
Even if it was a real apology instead of a republican weasel one.
