George P. Bush, speaking at a “get out the vote” rally in Harlingen on Monday, told Republicans that “every single vote counts” as he recalled the historic 2000 presidential election in which his uncle George W. Bush narrowly won office.

I remember that day in 2000 when I got a call from a politico friend early afternoon on election day. We've won Florida, he exclaimed. We did. We just didn't get to count all of the votes. Except for the US Supreme Court vote. Shame on that court.
