Sounds fair and reasonable to have safe working conditions and a living wage. Crony capitalists will look to republicans to protect them from what's fair.
All Texans working in the construction industry deserve safe and dignified working conditions on the job, along with safety training, fair compensation and security for themselves and their family in the event of injury.

That is the view of the Workers Defense Project and UT's Division of Diversity and Community Engagement. The groups are urging all lawmakers in Texas to fight for the rights of construction workers in some of the state's largest markets. Together they unveiled a 65-page report explaining in detail, the working conditions across Texas, the product of more than a year of research, construction worker surveys and thousands of interviews with workers and industry leaders.

Fuerza del Valle Workers Center, a project of the Rio Grande Valley Equal Voice Network comprised of nearly 25,000 constituents of participating organizations including the South Texas Civil Rights Project, La Unión del Pueblo Entero, Proyecto Azteca and others held a press conference Tuesday morning explaining the highlights of the report.
