No surprise there. That's the way republicans roll.
The recipient of the biggest grant given by the state’s cancer-fighting agency had spent $1.3 million — or one-sixth of its taxpayer money — on nonallowable costs such as bonuses, moving expenses and honorariums for board members before it ceased operations, Texas lawmakers were told Wednesday.
Meanwhile, public testimony of CPRIT is suspended in order to 'protect a criminal investigation'. That makes absolutely no sense to me. Why would individuals get immunity for testifying to the Texas Legislature? Why wouldn't you want their testimony on record. The more statements the better.
