Corpus Christi City Council members voted unanimously Tuesday to accept the terms of a federal consent decree in connection with Police Department hiring practices regarding female applicants.
The Department of Justice filed a complaint in July alleging the city violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and challenged the city's entrance exams as being discriminatory against women.
