Bad news for Alemán.

Texas Education Commissioner Robert Scott sided with the Edcouch-Elsa school board’s decision to fire Superintendent Delfino Alemán last year after he made “disparaging” remarks about trustees to local media.

In an order issued last week, Scott denied Alemán’s appeal of his termination and agreed with an independent hearing examiner who partially blamed the superintendent for a breakdown in relations with his bosses.
